St. Mary’s College of Catbalogan (Inc.) announces the schedule of activities for the official opening of Academic Year 2026–2027, as released through two (2) Memorandums by the Vice President for Academic Affairs.
In preparation for the new academic year, all students from both the College Department and Basic Education Department are encouraged to participate in the para-liturgy, Flag-Raising Ceremony, and succeeding departmental activities as a unified Ignacian-Marian community.
Schedule of Activities
- Date: June 8, 2026 (Monday)
- Reporting Time: 6:45 A.M.
- Activities: Para-liturgy, Flag-Raising Ceremony, and Departmental Meetings / Classroom Orientation
Para-Liturgy and Flag-Raising Ceremony
The ceremony serves as the formal opening of the academic year and a communal expression of faith, unity, and shared purpose. Students are encouraged to bring their rosary beads for the para-liturgy and opening prayer.
Dress Code
- Returning students: Prescribed school uniform
- Freshmen students: White collared T-shirt, black slacks, and black shoes
Post-Ceremony Activities
Immediately after the Flag-Raising Ceremony:
- College students shall proceed to their respective departments for the Departmental Meeting, where important announcements and orientation activities will be conducted.
- Basic Education students shall proceed to their respective classrooms for the Orientation Program, where guidelines and school reminders for the new academic year will be discussed.
All students are expected to participate actively to ensure a meaningful and well-coordinated opening of the academic year.
