The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA), major in Financial Management, of St. Mary’s College of Catbalogan prepares students for careers in corporate finance, investment management, banking, credit, trust operations, insurance, foreign exchange, money markets, capital markets, and related financial fields. Based on CHED standards, the program develops students’ knowledge of financial institutions, financial theories, analytical tools, and decision-making approaches needed in a dynamic business environment. Guided by the Transformative RVM Ignacian Pedagogy, the program promotes active, collaborative, and reflective learning that connects business concepts to real-life situations, strengthens ethical judgment, and forms graduates who can respond responsibly to local, national, and global financial realities.

The Business Administration Department serves as the academic home organization for students under the BSBA program. It supports student development through activities that strengthen academic engagement, leadership, collaboration, and professional preparation in the field of business. Through departmental programs, seminars, student initiatives, and participation in school activities, the organization helps students build confidence, responsibility, and practical awareness of business and financial management practice.
