The Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd) program of St. Mary’s College of Catbalogan is designed to prepare future teachers for the secondary level by developing strong foundations in subject matter mastery, pedagogy, assessment, curriculum development, and field-based teaching practice. Guided by CHED standards and the Transformative RVM Ignacian Pedagogy, the program promotes active, reflective, collaborative, and value-oriented learning that connects theory with classroom realities and responds to the diverse needs of adolescent learners. Through its majors in English, Mathematics, and Filipino, the program forms competent, ethical, and service-oriented educators who can teach with depth, creativity, and professional responsibility in varied learning environments.
